Brook Bisonet

Representative Matters

Brook represents clients in a variety of civil litigation and transactional matters. The primary focus of his litigation practice is representing clients in labor and employment disputes. Brook represents employees and employers in matters in state and federal court and in charges before the Michigan Department of Civil Rights and the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission. Brook advises clients in matters involving separation agreements, unemployment benefits, non-compete agreements, non-solicitation agreements, wrongful termination, discrimination and claims under the Whistleblower's Protection Act.

Brook's litigation practice also includes representing clients in general civil litigation, property tax appeals, real estate disputes and creditor's rights.

Brook provides clients comprehensive estate planning, business advising and formation and representation in real estate transactions. While Brook's estate planning clientele includes people of all ages, he focuses on informing young couples with minor children that estate planning is not just for people on the brink of retirement. Rather, estate planning is important and affordable for couples with minor children.

Brook also works with non-profit organizations to obtain 501(c)(3) status with the Internal Revenue Service. Brook represents The Grand Kids Foundation (http://thegrandkidsfoundation.org/), formed by former Detroit Tiger and current New York Yankee Centerfielder, Curtis Granderson, and, in 2009, helped it to obtain its 501(c)(3) status with the IRS.
